Docusign

Overview

What is DocuSign?

DocuSign’s software allows parties to sign contracts and other documents electronically rather than by pen and paper.  This eliminates the need for parties signing a contract to be physically present at the same location. The technology also provides necessary security protocols. Signed documents are uploaded and encrypted with a unique hash. The hash can later be compared to a document to ensure that no one has tampered with the contract or other uploaded document.

Who needs a DocuSign account?

Staff and Faculty that create, manage or email documents through the DocuSign platform will need access.  Any person that only needs to sign and return documents does not require an account.

Can Students Request a DocuSign account?

Student Workers may not request a DocuSign account without prior Staff or Faculty approval.  Any requests submitted before the proper approval is submitted will be discarded.

What to Expect

Select the appropriate request button located on this page to initiate your request.

Once the request has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket number, including a link to view the status of your request.

DocuSign accounts are processed weekly, so it may take up to seven days for this type of request to be processed
