Tracks Account Username Update

Overview

What is Tracks?

Tracks is the Florida Institute of Technology's account system that provides a single username and password to access all university services granted to a user.  Your Tracks username is generated for you upon being hired and cannot be changed.  There are, however, specific circumstances where exceptions can be made, for example, a legal name change or a misspelling of all or a part of your name in the system.  If you are a former student, you may also request that the enrollment year be removed from your username.

How do I change my username?

The first step is to go into Workday, and update your personal information.

After the process has finished in Workday, and your name has been updated there, then you may fill out this Service Request.

What to Expect

Your Tracks credentials are the one component that connects all the different services that you are offered as an employee.  For that reason, some interruption in services will occur.  The whole process can take up to 72 hours and not all services may pick up the update at the same time.  For example, you may be able to log into your computer with your new username, but your email may not reflect the change until later.  Please keep that in mind when submitting the request.  Once the process has started, it cannot be stopped or expedited.

Select the Request Update button located on this page to initiate your request.

Once the request has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket number, including a link to view the status of your request.

Next Steps

Keep track of updates to your ticket and engage with IT technician(s) through the confirmation email notification or the Ticket Requests section.
