Operating System Upgrade/Update

Overview

Before starting this process backup your data (**IMPORTANT**)

​​​​​​The technician will:

  • Check the software and hardware to make sure it’s compatible with the new system
  • Suggest needed memory and/or hard drive upgrades if needed

In some cases, due to hardware incompatibility with the latest security requirements of the latest operating systems, a complete hardware replacement may be necessary.

Once the request has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket number, including a link to view the status of your request.

A technician will contact you to arrange a good time to do the work. They will offer a loaner computer, if needed, and will return your computer in an agreed-upon length of time.
