Troubleshooting Steps
New Students:
If you are a newly admitted student, you will need a TRACKS account to access university systems. When your account is ready to be claimed, you will receive an email from Florida Tech My Account (identity@fit.edu). This process can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours after the Admissions department marks your account as having completed all the necessary actions.
Please be sure to check your SPAM or JUNK folders, just in case the email made it in there. The email contains a Claim Link to activate your TRACKS account.
- If it has been more than 72 hours since you have been admitted, and you have not received an email from identity@fit.edu with your Claim Link, submit a ticket by clicking the Request Claim Help button on this page.
- If you received an email from identity@fit.edu and you have not claimed your TRACKS account within 72 hours of receiving it, submit a ticket by clicking the Request Claim Help button on this page.
- If you received an email from identity@fit.edu and you are having problems claiming your TRACKS account, submit a ticket by clicking the Request Claim Help button on this page.
Current and Former Students:
Proceed to the reset your password portal page to reactivate your TRACKS account. You will need your Florida Tech student ID number (900######). For step-by-step instructions, please refer to the Reset TRACKS Password article.
You can find your student ID number on your Campus ID Card, on your transcripts, on your admission letter, and on your Admitted Student Portal. Still can’t find it? Contact student-records@fit.edu.
What to Expect
Once the request has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket number, including a link to view the status of your request.
A technician will review your account and call you back with the relevant information as soon as possible.
Next Steps
Keep track of updates to your ticket and engage with IT technician(s) through the confirmation email notification or the Ticket Requests section.
