Problem: Canvas account is suspended or missing (fit.instructure.com)

If you were redirected to this page after logging into Canvas with your TRACKS ID, please see below for possible causes and solutions.

Most Likely: Your Canvas account was suspended for non-payment.

If your Canvas account worked previously, your Canvas access may have been suspended by Student Financial Services/Student Accounting for non-payment.  Check your email for messages about balances due, and resolve payment issues to restore your Canvas access.  Note: Tech Support cannot look at balances or restore accounts that have been suspended for non-payment.  Students must work with Student Financial Services to resolve these issues.

Possible: You are a newly admitted student, and your Canvas account is not ready

If you are brand new to Florida Tech and haven't previously logged into Canvas, your Canvas account may not be ready yet.  Typically, Canvas accounts are created for new students up to 24 hours after they have their Florida Tech email address.  If you don't have your Florida Tech email address yet, you won't be able to access Canvas.  This applies to Main Campus, Education Centers, and ABA Online students.

Possible: You are not logging into the correct version of Canvas

If you are taking 8-week online courses through Florida Tech Online, your courses are found under https://floridatech.instructure.com.  Note that access may not be granted until the course officially starts.

Rare: Your official username/email changed, but Canvas didn't get the update

If you recently changed or corrected your name in official records, and this resulted in your username and email address changing.  Usually Canvas updates on its own, but there could be a normal delay as the change cascades through systems.  Sometimes an error prevents the change from reaching Canvas.  If you had a name change recently and it broke your Canvas access, please submit a Help request to have the account reviewed.
