Additionally, the guide includes official support resources and clear instructions

Body

At Florida Tech, we take the security of your personal information seriously. To protect your account from unauthorized access, our admission portal uses an automated security system. Occasionally, this system may pause your session and display a "Verification Failed" or "Unusual traffic from your computer network" message.

If you encounter the security blocks below, please try the following troubleshooting steps to securely restore your access:

1. Wait 24 Hours for Account Protection Blocks

If you change your password multiple times within a small time window, fail to log in multiple times, unusually rapidly click buttons, or rapidly and repeatedly request services, the system will temporarily lock the account to protect it. If this happens, please wait 24 hours before trying again.

2. Check for Malware

You or another user on your network might have malicious software (malware) installed on your computer without your knowledge, which can cause this security message to appear. For instructions on how to identify and remove malware, please refer to this guide: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2765944

3. Disable Automated Services

If the system thinks you are sending automated traffic, such as utilizing robots, computer programs, or automated form-filling services, it will restrict access. Please turn off any automated services and submit the application yourself.

4. Verify Browser Compatibility

Ensure you are using an up-to-date web browser (please note that Internet Explorer is no longer supported). You can quickly test if your current browser is compatible by using this Compatibility Checking Tool.

5. Disable Browser Extensions

Some browser extensions, particularly ad blockers or advanced privacy filters, can unintentionally block the background scripts our system needs to verify your connection. Try temporarily disabling your extensions and reloading the page.

6. Enable JavaScript

Our security framework requires JavaScript to function properly. Please check your browser's settings to ensure JavaScript is enabled.

7. Try Incognito or Private Mode

Opening a new window in Incognito or Private mode is a quick way to bypass cached data and disable extensions that might be interfering with the security check.

8. Test Another Browser or Device

Switching to a different browser (for example, moving from Safari to Chrome) or using a different device (like your mobile phone) can help determine if the issue is specific to your current setup.

9. Avoid VPNs or Proxies

Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and proxy services route your connection through shared networks that are frequently flagged by global security systems. If you are using a VPN, please turn it off temporarily while accessing the admission portal.

10. Switch to a Different Network

Strict network restrictions—such as those found on some corporate or public Wi-Fi networks—can sometimes cause security challenges to fail. Try switching to a different network, such as your cellular data or a personal mobile hotspot.
